Tee Higgins

The former Clemson wide receiver seems to be the consensus pick for the Buffalo Bills in the first round of most mock drafts. He is expected to go in the latter half of the first round and what he brings to an offense is exactly what the Bills are lacking.

Higgins was very productive over his final two seasons with Clemson, recording double digit touchdowns and combining for 2,103 receiving yards and 118 receptions.

The reason the Bills would be interested is he has tremendous size at 6’4″ but doesn’t lose any athletic ability. In the scouting report by Drae Harris of The Draft Network, he highlights the fact that Higgins is a red zone threat, is excellent at high pointing the ball and is able to create separation at the top of the route.

"He displays very good proactive athleticism for the position. For a bigger WR he has some suddenness off the LOS and displays good speed and deep tracking ability on 9 routes. Does a very good job defeating press with foot quickness. Will give up his body to pursue the football. Does a good job of dropping his weight and creating separation at the top of the route. Very good in contested catch situations due to his good length and competitiveness and will high point the football. Has excellent RAC ability. Natural hands catcher that displays good extension on his catches. Good courage and willingness to catch the ball when contact is imminent. Displays good catch range and length for the position. Excellent body control to contort his body and adjust on back shoulder throws to secure the catch. Projects with excellent red-zone ability and in slant/fade situations on the goal line. He’s an ideal fit at X but his skill set suggests he can play anywhere on the field."

While Josh Allen has improved his accuracy last year, these are all qualities that will help as he won’t be forced to throw into as many tight windows. Higgins should end up being one of the stars during the NFL Combine, especially with the addition of the fade route as one of the drills.
