Re-sign Free Agents

While the Buffalo Bills have 13 players who were on the roster last year but are unrestricted free agents, the big three in this group is defensive tackle Jordan Phillips, offensive guard Quinton Spain and defensive end Shaq Lawson.

While Phillips was the most productive, with 9.5 sacks this past year, the Bills should focus on signing Quinton Spain and Shaq Lawson. The team would likely be able to agree to more team-friendly deals with Spain and Lawson while Phillips is expected to command a much larger salary this offseason. In addition, the Bills have much better depth at defensive tackle with Ed Oliver, Harrison Phillips and Star Lotulelei than the other positions.

In addition to Spain and Lawson, the Bills should sign these other free agents as part of a perfect offseason:

  • CB Kevin Johnson (UFA)
  • S Kurt Coleman (UFA)
  • RT LaAdrian Waddle (UFA)
  • LB Julian Stanford (UFA)
  • WR Isaiah McKenzie (RFA)
  • CB Levi Wallace (ERFA)
