Brandon Copeland

The New York Jets are undergoing reconstruction in all three phases and with Avery Williamson coming back from injury, they may not be interested in re-signing Brandon Copeland.

Copeland is the oldest player on this list, at 28 years old, but he has a lot of gas still left in the tank.
In 2018, his first with the Jets, he had 35 total tackles and 5 sacks in 10 starts. However, the Jets spent big in free agency with C.J. Mosley and tried to bring in Anthony Barr, which put Copeland’s place on the team on shaky ground. It didn’t help he then violated the league’s performance enhancing drug policy and was suspended the first four games of the year.

This led to him only starting 3 games, but he did finish the season with 1.5 sacks. Copeland is a player where the sacks could pour in under the right situation and in the actual state of New York, he would be able to accomplish this.

The focus for Copeland on the Bills would be to get after opposing quarterbacks and with 5 sacks in 2018 with a weaker supporting cast then what the Bills will have in 2020 could mean a double-digit sack total for Copeland.

If the Bills believe they can get Copeland to regain his form from a season ago, they will be happy to add to an already explosive defense. A change of scenery might help Copeland return to his 2018 form with his ceiling still not being hit.
