Carlos Dunlap
Another potential trade target would be Cincinnati Bengals’ defensive end Carlos Dunlap. The 10-year veteran falls in a similar situation as Mario Addison. He is on the wrong side of 30, he will be 32 next month, and is playing on a team that likely will not be competing for a few years.
The Bengals will have to determine if Dunlap has more value contributing to a rebuilding team or try to move him for draft picks that could aid in that rebuild.
If the Bengals decide the latter, then a fit with the Buffalo Bills makes perfect sense. While he doesn’t have Addison experience with he could step in as the top pass rusher for this defense.
He has been very consistent for the Bengals over his career and in 10 seasons in the league he has had fewer than five sacks in one season. In the past four seasons, Dunlap has averaged just over eight sacks per season.
Depending on what the Bengals would be asking for, it wouldn’t be surprising to see him with the Buffalo Bills next year.
