LaMical Perine
The former Florida Gator is coming off a lackluster final season in Gainesville and could use this week to help boost his draft stock. He finished the year with 676 rushing yards on 132 attempts, but his average yards per carry dropped over a yard from 6.2 in 2018 to 5.1 yard per carry in 2019.
However, a case could be made that the drop in performance was due to his offensive line, as Justin Rochat notes in his assessment of Perine.
The running back position may not be a top priority for the Buffalo Bills with the emergence of Devin Singletary this past season. However, the team could add a complimentary back to pair with Singletary, if Frank Gore does not return.
Perine seems like the perfect back because he is a bigger back, one that can pick up tough yards and runs with power. He certainly has the ability to be the thunder to Singletary’s lightning.
