T.J. Yeldon

2020 Cap Hit: $1,900,000

Dead Cap: $250,000

Cap Savings: $1,650,000

The first player on this list is T.J. Yeldon, who was primarily the Buffalo Bills third running back for most of the year. He joined the Bills after four seasons with the Jacksonville Jaguars but only played in six games in 2019.

He finished the year with 63 rushing yards on 17 carries, as well as adding 13 receptions and 124 receiving yards.

While Yeldon did provide the Bills with a third running back who has experience as a starter, the running back group looks vastly different than the start of the year. Devin Singletary played well as a rookie and looks like he will be a key contributor in the years ahead.

If the Bills elect to draft another running back in the NFL Draft, in addition to having Christian Wade who spent the year on the practice squad, this seems like a move that makes sense to free up some cap space.
