If the Buffalo Bills hope to add a little more cap space this offseason, these four players could be cut to make that happen.

There is no question that the Buffalo Bills in terms of the salary cap is in excellent position heading into this upcoming offseason. According to Spotrac, the Bills have the fourth most cap space in the league with just under $90 million dollars.

Bills’ general manager Brandon Beane deserves a great deal of credit to getting this organization to this point. When he joined the Bills in 2017, he began making tough decisions and got rid of some of the contracts that was negatively impacting the salary cap.

Entering the 2018 season, the Buffalo Bills had over $50 million in dead cap space. They were essentially using over a quarter of their salary cap on players no longer with the organization. As Mike Florio points out in the article, a large chunk of that $50 million was due to Marcell Dareus, who was traded to the Jacksonville Jaguars during the 2017 season.

While the Bills are in much better shape entering this offseason, they could still try to find a little bit more room under the cap. This is because they hope to not only improve through free agency, but there are some players who are in line for big pay increases that could see new contracts.

These are four players that could be cut this offseason to help created the added cap space the Bills would need to make all the moves they hope to.
