Round 7, Pick 209: QB, Levi Brown, Troy

Levi Brown was cut in September 2010 losing the competition for the third string job against Brian Brohm. However, he was re-signed later that month after the Bills decided to release Trent Edwards.

Before the 2011 season began the Bills decided to release Brown again. Brown spent some time playing in the CFL for the Saskatchewan Roughriders and the Winnipeg Blue Bombers.

After his career of playing football was over, Brown became a graduate assistant with the Troy Trojans until 2017 and is currently a Quarterback Coach for Valdosta State University.

Round 7, Pick 216: OT, Kyle Calloway, Iowa

Kyle Calloway was the Bills’ last pick in the 2010 draft. He spent the least amount of time with the Bills signing a deal in June 2010 but was released two months later in August 2010. Calloway signed with the Hartford Colonials of the United Football League in 2011 and made his way back to the NFL by signing with the Baltimore Ravens in August 2011.

He was cut later that month, never playing a NFL down in his professional career. Tragically in 2016 while jogging near a set of train tracks, Calloway was hit by a train and passed away.

To think that this was almost 10 years ago is crazy though the 2010 NFL draft wasn’t the best draft class that the Bills have had over the last decade. The three biggest named to come out of that draft for the Bills’ were C.J. Spiller, Marcus Easley, and Arther Moats.

With the 2020 NFL Draft only three months away, the Bills’ currently have the 22nd overall pick. I am excited for this year’s draft and to see what new additions we add to our team who finished last season 10-6.
