Wide Receiver
John Brown
The former Baltimore Raven was one of two key additions this offseason at the wide receiver position. He started the year strong with at least 50 receiving yards in each of the first 10 games however wasn’t as much as a factor over the final six games with an average of 40.5 yards per game.
There is no question that Brown can be a weapon in this offense however it was evident during the playoff game against the Houston Texans that this offense needs a true number one wide receiver. If they are able to add that, there is certainly a case that Brown could become even more effective without so much attention on him.
Another year in this offense with Josh Allen should put Brown in good position to have back to back 1,000 receiving seasons for the first time in his career.

Cole Beasley
While Beasley finished second on the team in receiving yards (778), there is a case to be made that his addition to this offense was more impactful. He was a key weapon for Josh Allen on third down and was a reliable safety valve out of the slot. He also finished tied with Brown for most receiving touchdowns with six.
The veteran slot receiver should continue to be a pivotal part of this offense and one of Allen’s favorite targets next season.

Isaiah McKenzie
The Bills picked up McKenzie midway through the 2018 season and even with the additions of Brown and Beasley, he was still a key contributor on this offense. He finished the year with 27 receptions, 254 receiving yards along with 49 rushing yards. The speed he brings to this offense, along with ability to make plays through the air on the ground should continue to allow him to have a place in this offense.
Grade: C+
Duke Williams
The former CFL standout had a strong finish to the 2019 season with his first 100 yard receiving game in the final regular season game and then had another 49 receiving yards in the playoff game against the Houston Texans.
The question will be where he fits in this offense going into next season. He has the size the other wide receiver lack and could be a big red zone target for Josh Allen. However, if the Bills add another receiver in the Draft or through free agency, he could be on the outside looking in.
Grade: C-
Robert Foster
The biggest disappointment at the wide receiver position has to be Robert Foster. The former undrafted rookie out of Alabama had a breakout season in 2018 and looked like he would be a key part of this offense in 2019.
However, that wasn’t the case and he finished with only three receptions on 18 targets for 64 receiving yards. It would be surprising if Foster returned to the Buffalo Bills in 2020.
