With Marshawn Lynch returning to Seattle for the playoffs, we look at three players that Buffalo Bills fans would like to see suit up once more

This past week, Marshawn Lynch and the Seattle Seahawks made some news as their former star running back decided to come back and play for them down the stretch. It’s the second return to action for Lynch, who started his career with the Buffalo Bills.

Seattle fans have been ecstatic at the news, which is understandable. Beast Mode had some of his greatest performances of his career with Seattle and helped them win a Super Bowl as well.

His return also got the wheels turning. The Bills have had their share of talented players leave the game, but how would fans feel to see some of these guys return?

Here we try and answer that with the top-three former Bills fans would be thrilled to see once more — and for the purposes of this article, we will be focusing on players who are at an age that they could actually play again, so sorry, no Doug Flutie here.

3. Eric Wood, Center

This one would be tough because of a medical condition that forced the former center to retire, but fans would be thrilled to see Eric Wood healed up and back on the field. Currently working as a columnist, Wood was one of the smarter offensive linemen in the game.

He was a first-round pick from Louisville in 2009 and started 120 games before being forced to step away. Wood was also a one-time Pro Bowl selection in 2015, although he was an alternate as well in his final season.

2. Marshawn Lynch, Running Back

Marshawn Lynch is remembered for his tenure in Seattle but before spending six seasons with them, he was a Buffalo Bill. For three seasons, and a quarter of a fourth, Lynch was the Bills featured back.

He made his first Pro Bowl in 2008 with Buffalo after rushing for 1,036 yards and eight touchdowns. In all, he had 2,765 yards and 17 touchdowns before being traded to Seattle.

Lynch could still have something in the tank at 33-years old and if it would have been Buffalo that brought him back, there would be some excitement — especially considering the struggles the offense has had in recent weeks.

1. Kyle Williams, Defensive Tackle

Kyle Williams was a fifth-round pick out of LSU back in 2006 and spent his entire career in Buffalo. He was a six-time Pro Bowl selection and racked up 611 tackles and 48.5 sacks in 13 seasons. Williams retired ahead of this season but was still playing at a high level.

In 2018, Williams had 35 tackles and five sacks while also forcing a fumble. Having him back on the line would be exciting for fans and he would be able to give them a push in the postseason.
