Dud: The offensive line

The one thing that really stuck out on the Bills offense today was how little time they had to do anything. Every time Josh Allen dropped back to pass, he was needing to move quickly as he was constantly under duress.

Baltimore was able to get into the backfield at will as they sacked him six times which caused him to lose 41 yards. That ended up making the passing yards look even worse as the Bills finished with 105 passing yards on the day.

There was also very little running room for the backs as Frank Gore finished with six yards on four carries. Devin Singletary did get 89 yards in 17 rushes but much of that came due to his ability to make defenders miss.

Buffalo’s offensive line also nearly made this game look much worse as center Mitch Morse inadvertently stepped on Allen’s foot near the end of the first half and the signal-caller had to limp off the field.

Thankfully his ankle wasn’t seriously hurt but it was just another example of how the five guys up front struggled to keep the pocket clean against the Ravens. The team is going to need them to be better going forward if they hope to make noise in the playoffs.
