The Buffalo Bills hold on for a 21-17 win after blowing a 14 point lead to the Cincinnati Bengals.

For the first time since 2011, the Buffalo Bills are 3-0 thanks to a game winning drive led by Josh Allen that gave them a 21-17 win over the Cincinnati Bengals.

This was a game of two halves for the Bills as they controlled the game in the first half with nearly 23 minutes of possession, out-gained the Bengals with 257 total yards to their 77, and had 18 first downs to the Bengals two.

The Bills opened the scoring when Josh Allen found rookie Dawson Knox in the end zone, which was the first of his NFL career. They went on to add a two point conversion and two field goals to build the 14-0 halftime lead.

However, for most of the second half the Bills struggled to get any momentum and the Bengals came right back with 17 straight points thanks to a rushing touchdown by Andy Dalton, followed by a passing touchdown from Dalton to Joe Mixon and then a Randy Bullock field goal.

As soon as the Bengals took the lead, was the Bills offense finally came back alive on the next drive. Josh Allen led the offense down the field for a 78-yard touchdown drive that was capped off by a Frank Gore rushing touchdown, his second in consecutive weeks, with under two minutes to go. The big play of that drive though was a punishing run by Dawson Knox for 49 yards that included two broken tackles.

The Bengals though were able to move the ball down the field, getting all the way down to the 28 yard line. However, a pass from Andy Dalton was thrown high and tipped off the hands of Auden Tate and was picked off by Tre’Davious White. This was White’s second interception of the game.
