Stock Down: Cody Ford

On the other side, there was a rookie who is seeing his stock heading in the other direction. The team’s second round pick was with the starters for most of training camp and preseason, either at tackle or guard. However, against the Jets he rotated with Ty Nsekhe at right tackle and played only five more snaps than the veteran.

During the preseason, Ford showed flashes of his potential but the coaching staff isn’t ready to fully commit to the former Oklahoma Sooner. Fortunately, the coaching staff has the luxury of not having to put him out there in a full time role until he is ready because of the presence of Nsekhe. This will be a benefit in the long run.

It will be worth watching the split between Nsekhe and Ford in the coming weeks and see if he can start to earn more playing time for the Buffalo Bills.
