Stock Down: Cole Beasley

While Brown stepped up against the Jets, the Bills other free agent signing didn’t have a great start to his career with the Buffalo Bills. There is no question that Cole Beasley is going to heavily involved in this offense as the slot receiver.

He is expected to be that safety valve and reliable target for Josh Allen. However, against the Jets Beasley made a few key mistakes that could have impacted the outcome. In the first half, Beasley had a pass from Allen bounce off his leg that was picked off by C.J. Mosley. While it wasn’t a great pass from Allen, this is a pass that Beasley has to catch.

In the second half, Beasley had a bad drop after Josh Allen threw a nice drop pass heading towards the sideline that he dropped. These mistakes, combined with the fumble against the Detroit Lions in the third preseason game, is starting to show a concerning trend.

This game against the New York Giants presents a great opportunity for Beasley to bounce back.
