Stephen Hauschka was perfect for the Buffalo Bills with a 43 yard field goal and two extra points. As evident in today’s game, having a reliable kicker is not something that should be taken for granted. If Kaare Vedvik had made either his field goal attempt or extra point, the discussion around this game would be much different.
As for Corey Bojorquez, he entered this game with some questions after a shaky preseason performance. The expectation was that the front office would likely try to bring in another punter to replace Bojorquez but he actually played well against the New York Jets. He had three punts for 130 yards, including a long of 60, but had two of three punts go into the end zone for touchbacks.

The performance of Bojorquez likely gave him another week to continue to prove he deserves the job as the team’s starting punter.
