Run defense shuts down Lions

The Buffalo Bills finished last season with the second best passing defense in the NFL and they look like they may have a run defense to match in 2019.

On Friday night, the Bills’ defense held the Lions to under 50 rushing yards in the first half, and they were only able to muster 2.7 yards per carry. The Lions featured back, Kerryon Johnson, only got four yards on two carries.

One player that stood out in particular on this Buffalo Bills’ defense was linebacker Tremaine Edmunds. The second year player finished the game with eight total tackles, including one tackle for a loss when he stopped Johnson in the back field.

There isn’t any reason to think that this group can’t finish the year as one of the best defenses in the NFL.
