Sloppy Start for Starters

It was not the start the Buffalo Bills hoped for from their starters as the team had four penalties in the first 10 minutes of the game. The penalties weren’t limited to just one group as the offense had two, and the defense and special teams accounted for one each.

The offense in particular struggled to get going with two three-and-outs on their first two drives. Then on the third drive of the game, Cole Beasley fumbled the ball that set the Lions up with a short field, which they capitalized on with a field goal.

The Bills answered with a touchdown of their own on the next drive but the offense was bailed out by the refs. Early in the drive, Josh Allen made a bad decision throwing the ball down field after scrambling out of the pocket. However, the Lions were called for roughing the passer that kept the drive alive.

With this being the third preseason game, and after a great performance against the Carolina Panthers, it was disappointing to see the offense start the game the way they did, especially considering this is the last time fans will likely see the starters before the regular season.
