Christian Wade has a place in the NFL
The star of the preseason for the Buffalo Bills has been running back Christian Wade. The former rugby player turned running back has been electric this preseason and after a 65-yard touchdown run against the Colts, he had a 48-yard reception against the Panthers. It felt like Wade made every Panthers’ defender miss on the run after the catch.
Wade is part of the NFL’s initiative to add international players to the league and was assigned to the Buffalo Bills earlier this year.
While Wade has been exciting, it is hard to see a way the Bills add him to their roster with the depth at the position. The team also gets an exemption for Wade and can add him to their practice squad in addition to the normally allocated number of players.
However, after the performance this preseason and with more development over the course of the season, he could find his way into being a key part of this running game in 2020 for the Buffalo Bills.
