Can starting offense get in a rhythm?

Against the Indianapolis Colts, the Buffalo Bills starting offense didn’t look sharp as they were shut out on their two drives. While it would be easy to give them a pass as the gameplan for those drives is not something the coaching staff will likely deploy. The offense started the game with eight straight passes as they were likely trying to give Josh Allen as many looks in the passing game as possible in a short period of time.

The second drive showed a little more promise as Josh Allen was able to get the offense into field goal range but Stephen Hauschka missed a 34-yard field goal. Allen finished the game completing 6 of 11 for 66 yards.

The fact that the starters will get more playing time, and the addition of LeSean McCoy in this offense, hopefully helps get this unit into a rhythm. It will be important to see the Bills’ offense extend some drives, get some work in the red zone and hopefully end with a couple of touchdowns.
