These are the top storylines for the Buffalo Bills as they face the Carolina Panthers in their second preseason game of the 2019 season.

The Buffalo Bills completed two joint practices with the Carolina Panthers this week ahead of their second preseason game of the season against the Panthers on Friday night. The Bills looked good in their first preseason game against the Indianapolis Colts, winning 24-16, and hope to continue that momentum.

While the Bills will be looking to remain in the win column, the focus for this game shifts a little more to the starters. The third preseason game, which is often treated like a dress rehearsal for the regular season, is often considered the most valuable. However, against the Panthers the first team should see some significant snaps and will likely play into the second quarter.

In addition to the starters seeing more playing time, this preseason game carries a little bit more meaning for a number of players on this roster. The Buffalo Bills have a number of connections to the Carolina Panthers, from players to coaches to front office personnel. There is a little bit more motivation for this game in comparison to other preseason games.
