Buffalo Bills: Players on roster bubble entering Preseason Week 2
Tyree Jackson
The former University of Buffalo was a longshot to make the roster or even surpass Matt Barkley for the backup job. However, his performance against the Colts didn’t help his case for being on the 53-man roster.
Tyree Jackson on Thursday night completed only two of 10 pass attempts for 45 yards and had 5 rushing yards on six attempts. He just looked overwhelmed at times and showed he still needs time to develop before he can be expected to take meaningful snaps in an NFL game.
This doesn’t necessarily mean that Jackson’s time with the Buffalo Bills will come to an end. He still has potential to develop into that NFL player and has similar traits to Josh Allen. It would not be surprising to see the Bills try to bring Jackson back onto their practice squad after they cut down the roster.
