Russell Bodine

The Buffalo Bills signed Russell Bodine last offseason as a potential replacement for Eric Wood, who had to unexpectedly retire last year. He joined the Bills with 64 career starts, and went on to start 10 games last year for this team.

However, the offensive line, and Bodine, struggled last year and the front office went out and signed Mitch Morse to a lucrative contract. This season Bodine was entering camp competing for at most a backup spot behind Morse.

When Morse suffered a concussion during training camp, it was Bodine who saw most of the reps with the starters during practice. However, when the first team took the field against the Colts it, wasn’t Bodine, but rather Jon Feliciano who took the field at center.

The bad news for Bodine is he may not even get a chance to move up the depth chart as he is dealing with an oblique injury. If he is able to get on the field, he will need to have a great performance if he hopes to secure a roster spot.
