Josh Allen still has work to do on his accuracy

One of the most talked about storylines surrounding the Buffalo Bills this summer has been Josh Allen’s work on his accuracy. This has been a major sticking point for Allen, dating all the way back to college.

However, against the Colts it still looks like this is a work in progress. The coaching staff made it a point to get him as many throws as possible, calling eight pass plays to start the game.

He made some good throws on the Bills’ opening drive, two to Cole Beasley that were on target and thrown quickly, but then would miss some easy throws, like to Zay Jones that was under-thrown and ended the team’s first drive.

He finished the game completing 6-11 passes for 66 yards with no touchdowns and zero interceptions. This is one thing that will likely follow Allen’s career until he shows on a consistent basis that he can put the ball in the right spot. Hopefully, this improves as the preseason goes on.
