The Buffalo Bills failed to have any players make the NFL Network’s Top 100.

Over the past week and half, the NFL Network announced their Top 100, voted on by the players in the NFL. Unfortunately, for the Buffalo Bills they failed to have any players make the list.

The AFC East was well represented though with seven players. The New England Patriots had four (Julian Edelman, Devin McCourty, Stephon Gilmore, and Tom Brady), while the New York Jets had two (CJ Mosley and Jamal Adams) and the Miami Dolphins had one (Xavien Howard).

For the 2018 edition last year, the Bills, when they were coming off a playoff berth, only had two players make the list. This was the first time Micah Hyde made the list, coming in at 62. However it was former Pro Bowl running back LeSean McCoy who had the biggest fall, going from 30th all the way off the list this year.

While it is disappointing not to see any Buffalo Bills make the list, it is certainly understandable. They were coming off a 6-10 season and was a team in flux. While the defense was one of the best in the league, they didn’t have any stars. There success came from not having any glaring weakness but played well collectively.

Almost every media outlet does some kind of rankings but this one carries a little more weight on what the impression of the Buffalo Bills are for the upcoming season among the people within the league. The reason these rankings could carry more weight is that they based on the votes of the players in the league. This means the Bills have plenty to prove to change the impression of this team across the league this upcoming season.

The Top 5 players in the rankings were Todd Gurley, Patrick Mahomes, Khalil Mack, Drew Brees and Aaron Donald.
