Cornerback
The Buffalo Bills are looking for a player to step up into a starting role opposite Tre White. Last year, Levi Wallace as a rookie, played excellent in the second half of the season and he carried that momentum into training camp. Jon Scott tweeted that Wallace remained on the starting defense, ahead of free agent signings Kevin Johnson and EJ Gaines.
Wallace was one of the best rookie cornerbacks last year, according to Pro Football Focus. However, this didn’t stop the front office of bringing in competition to push Wallace or step in if he regresses.
This will be an interesting training camp battle as Johnson, a former first round pick for the Houston Texans, has looked great when on the field. The problem is that he has dealt with his fair share of injuries during his time in the NFL that has limited his playing time.
