The Buffalo Bills had their first training camp practice on Thursday and had a few surprises of players with the first teams.

The Buffalo Bills were back on the field for the first time since the close of OTAs a few months ago. While the team was not in pads, this was the first time fans and media really got an up close look at the team and all the new players.

The Bills were active this offseason, signing over 15 free agents and adding another eight players from the NFL Draft, that are expected to have some kind of impact this season. The new influx in talent also means that the depth chart is not as set as in year’s past, especially on the offensive side of the ball.

This uncertainty made the first practice exciting as we caught a glimpse of what the coaching staff is thinking in terms of an initial depth chart. This will likely change throughout the season but players starting with the first team have the advantage heading into camp and is their job to lose.

These are some of the depth chart surprises for the Buffalo Bills during their first practice.
