EA Sports recently released ratings for all rookies in Madden NFL 20, with the Buffalo Bills included.

Just as the NFL season is coming around, Madden NFL season is on the horizon. If you’re a fan of EA Sports’ football simulation and support the Buffalo Bills, you may be pleased with the team’s rookie ratings, particular, Ed Oliver’s.

EA Sports recently released all rookie ratings, including ten for the Bills. Not only was Buffalo’s full draft class represented, but a couple of high-profile undrafted free agents are too. Oliver–the No. 9 pick–ranks as the second highest rookie in the game, just behind Jets’ Quinnen Williams. The full list of rookies and their ratings:

  • Ed Oliver, DT – 79
  • Devin Singletary, RB – 72
  • Cody Ford, RT – 68
  • Dawson Knox, TE – 68
  • Tommy Sweeney, TE – 67
  • Jaquan Johnson, S – 65
  • Tyree Jackson, QB – 64
  • Vosean Joseph, MLB – 64
  • David Sills V, WR – 64
  • Darryl Johnson Jr., LE – 63

Madden NFL historically ranks rookies low; so seeing only two Bills young-guns with an overall rating of at least 70 shouldn’t be too surprising. For what it’s worth, Oliver looks the part of a glitchy player from release; his 81 speed, 85 agility, and 87 acceleration, and 89 strength are all outstanding grades for a defensive tackle.

Devin Singletary’s 72 overall ranks second for all rookie backs, just behind the first-round pick Josh Jacobs. Cody Ford’s lowly 68 rating isn’t awe-inspiring, but it is also the second highest for all rookies at his position.

Next. Buffalo Bills have an easy out on TE Tyler Kroft’s contract. dark

Maybe the oddest rating handed out is Tyree Jackson’s–in comparison to other quarterbacks in the class. The undrafted prospect was considered to be worth a mid-round pick before not being pick altogether, yet EA ranks him higher than a top-ten pick at the same position. Jackson’s 64 rating is higher than No. 6 pick Daniel Jones, and midround selections Jarrett Stidham, Ryan Finley, and Easton Stick.
