Eric Moulds – Wide receiver

Almost forgotten about during a time where dominant, young receivers ruled the NFL, Eric Moulds may be one of the more underrated receivers in Bills and NFL history. Playing the part of Andre Reed‘s long-term replacement, Moulds shredded defenses in the late ’90s and early 2000s. He would be a massive upgrade to whomever the Bills trot out at receiver next season.

A six-foot-two, 225-pound receiver, Moulds was as physically imposing as they come. But he was far more than a big body; he was a field-stretching menace and constant red zone threat. Moulds broke onto the scene in 1998; when he recorded 67 receptions for 1,368 yards and nine touchdowns, earning him a Pro-Bowl nod.

After 1998, Moulds recorded three more 1,000+ yard seasons before being traded to the Texans. He also had two more Pro-Bowl appearances. In 2000, he upped his catches to 94 while producing 1,326 yards and five touchdowns. In 2002–arguably his best season–he saw the Pro-Bowl for his third and final time, as he reeled in 100 passes for 1,292 yards and ten touchdowns.

For the current Bills, Moulds would help solve their No. 1 receiver option, while simultaneously giving their passing game explosiveness and speed. Though John Brown may be able to provide that, there is little doubt that Moulds would be the top and undoubtedly better option.
