ESPN.com shared some 2019 NFL predictions and to the surprise of no one, the Buffalo Bills didn’t get much love when it comes to the win column.

If Brandon Beane’s process plays out as planned, the Buffalo Bills will not be facing an uphill battle for respect at the start of every season.

We are all still waiting on consistent results and that means the Bills once again enter a season with low expectations on a national scale.

ESPN.com ran a comprehensive NFL preview that included a look at win total projections for the season. The Kansas City Chiefs lead the way with a projected total of 10.3, while the Bills are near the bottom with 6.7 wins.

But one thing to note is that the Bills have, as of right now, the third-easiest schedule in the NFL. Chalk it up as an easy year for the entire AFC East as the New England Patriots have the easiest schedule, with the New York Jets one spot better than the Bills.

This projection should not surprise any Bills fans out there. Being doubted has become the norm and to be fair, the team has yet to prove it deserves unearned respect heading into a season.

Yet the franchise appears to be heading in the right direction. Things got off to a hot start with a playoff berth, only for some expected regression in 2018.

But there is an expectation of improvement in 2019. Another losing season wouldn’t doom Beane and Sean McDermott, but it sure would make 2020 a playoff-or-bust season for the duo.

The schedule projection is tough to gauge based on how the NFL changes every year, but having an easy projected schedule should bode well for the Bills. It is much better than having the toughest projected schedule and potentially heading into the new season with doubts.
