New Buffalo Bills offensive lineman Ty Nsekhe spoke with Jim Rome about his career and the nice new contract he has in Buffalo.

The Buffalo Bills entered the offseason needing upgrades along the offensive line and Brandon Beane wasted no time accomplishing that goal.

He essentially added a whole new starting line and that includes Ty Nsekhe, who got a nice two-year deal with the Bills.

Nsekhe recently joined Jim Rome to talk about his career and I was sent a short snippet that I thought was an interesting share. That can be found right here.

The title is a bit misleading but the clip does feature Nsekhe talking about his recent success with the Washington Redskins.

A quick look at Nsekhe’s background shows why his two-year deal, with over $7 million guaranteed, is such a big deal for him. He got his start in the AF2 before eventually making it to the actual Arena Football League.

Then came stints with three NFL teams before he ended up in the Canadian Football League in 2014. He then came back to the NFL, followed by a return to the AFL before finally getting back to the NFL with the Redskins.

He finally stuck and spent 2015-2018 with the team before getting his break and signing in Buffalo. Now he is getting paid in a big way. If that isn’t a true Buffalo story of hard work and determination I don’t know what is.

The Bills drafted Cody Ford and he should start right away at either right tackle or a guard spot. Nsekhe has experience at left tackle, while Dion Dawkins held down the position last year.

The likely scenario is an open competition among everyone to find the best combination up front. Though that guaranteed money should play a factor into Nsekhe’s role this year.
