. Safety. Florida. Chauncey Gardner-Johnson. 25. player. 54

Philadelphia needs help in their secondary as they had issues at both corner and safety throughout last season. They need to find as much help and consistency back there as possible, and Gardner-Johnson is arguably the best safety prospect in the class. He has a range, tackling ability, and ball skills that make him one of the most complete players at his position in the class.

Previous Pick: Chauncey Gardner-Johnson

46. . Defensive Tackle. Clemson. Christian Wilkins. 26. player

The Colts desperately need talent along their defensive line. Wilkins falling to them at No. 26 overall is just what the doctor ordered. Wilkins is a high energy guy that competed every single play. He can also help with the development of Darius Leonard by clogging the middle, so this would be a great pick.

Previous Pick: Christian Wilkins

28. . Cornerback. Washington. Byron Murphy. 27. player

Oakland was able to focus on offense in free agency and with their third first-round pick they continue to build their young defense. The team built up their defensive line with their first two picks, now they can add on the back end with a big corner like Murphy. With three young core pieces on the defense for 2019 and beyond, the Raiders may actually be a team on the rise despite all of the drama surrounding the franchise.

Previous Pick: Noah Fant

Jerry Tillery. 28. player. 13. . Defensive Tackle. Notre Dame

Tillery isn’t a name spoken a lot by draft pundits but I believe he will find a way to sneak into round one. The Chargers can opt to go for some protection for Rivers but I believe they go the safe route of Tillery. They have to make sure that Bosa and Ingram can continue to be game wreckers on the outside, so this move would make that achievable.

Previous Pick: Devin Bush Jr.

Safety. Delaware. Nassir Adderley. 29. player. 36.

Seattle only has four picks in this draft, so I would label them as a team that will be calling teams to move back. Their secondary still needs a lot of work and the Legion of Boom days are far gone. Adderley is one of the top three safety prospects in the class and should be a very good replacement for Earl Thomas. If the Seahawks are interested in becoming a team like they were when they won the Super Bowl, they will need to bolster a once great defense.

Previous Pick: Nassir Adderley (picked at No. 21)

52. . Tight End. Alabama. Irv Smith Jr.. 30. player

TRADE: Seattle receives No. 38 and No. 69; Jacksonville receives No. 30

Despite picking up another first in the Frank Clark trade, that would net Seattle six total picks with our projected trade. They can acquire more picks by trading back just a few picks and still get a quality player, plus get younger, cheaper talent that they will need now that Russell Wilson is making bank.

Jacksonville jumps up here to acquire a new weapon for quarterback Nick Foles and add a dual threat before New England has the chance to snatch him up. Smith is a fantastic receiving tight end and while his blocking could use some work, he can still get the job done. Adding weapons on offense will certainly help the team become more balanced and Smith can go along with Dillard to build up a strong pass game for the Jags.

Previous Pick: Noah Fant (picked by Green Bay)

51. . Offensive Line. Boston College. Chris Lindstrom. 31. player

Roger Saffold left in free agency, leaving a void along the offensive line. Lindstrom is a player that could go anywhere from the twenties to early second round. He is a solid player in both the run and pass games and can be an instant starter. He will help protect Jared Goff and open up holes for Todd Gurley for years to come.

Previous Pick: Chris Lindstrom

Dexter Lawrence. 32. player. 47. . Defensive Tackle. Clemson

The Patriots seem to trade out of the first round almost every year so I’m not sure they make this pick. Lawrence does present value at No. 32 overall and fills a need. He is a hard-nosed player that will plug and play from day one. Belichick’s kind of player.

Previous Pick: DeAndre Baker
