The Buffalo Bills added two veteran receivers and were also involved in rumors with two superstar receivers. It has already been a wild offseason.

It was an odd time when the Buffalo Bills acquired Terrell Owens back in 2009.

Things seemed to be even more surreal ten years later when it appeared Antonio Brown was headed to the Bills.

The Bills have lacked major star power since the Jim Kelly era so it is exciting whenever a top tier player is linked to the Bills. Alas, Brown either nixed the trade or Brandon Beane decided against it after negotiations.

Then came the recent news that the New York Giants called the Bills about an Odell Beckham Jr. trade. The Bills had first dibs and passed on the opportunity, opting to go with Cole Beasley and John Brown instead.

For a team focused on building a strong culture, and also not shelling out a ton of money to one player, this makes sense. Beasley and Brown aren’t too bad either.

The offseason was expected to bring some insane rumors. I’m just not sure Bills fans expected the team to be linked to two of the top receivers in the game.

We look at this and more in today’s Morning Charge.

It is never a great sign when a team is calling eager to give up a star player. Clearly Brandon Beane wasn’t too excited about an OBJ deal.
