The Buffalo Bills have the chance to give the offense a makeover this offseason and can follow the lead of other teams when it comes to roster construction.

The Buffalo Bills are in a great position when it comes to the offense.

Let me explain.

The team struggled mightily in 2018, but did draft a quarterback who showed positives and who can be built around on offense.

The team has the No. 9 overall pick in the 2019 Draft and enough money available to bring in some top linemen and skill players as soon as free agency begins. Buffalo isn’t the easiest place to lure top free agents, but there are plenty of players out there who should happily take the money being offered.

This is also a great position to be in because the team can mold the offense around Allen’s skills. This rebuild has seen Brandon Beane grab his quarterback and build from there. I personally prefer this model because quarterback is the one position that must be settled for any offense to have long-term success.

Building up the other positions and having a bad quarterback would lead to disaster or more 7-9 seasons.

This concept and more is shared in today’s edition of The Morning Charge.

McCarthy takes a great look at two offenses the Bills should look at when building the roster in 2019. It’s hard to argue with this take.

The Bills could look to add a rookie running back and one player in particular could head to Buffalo with amazing potential.

The Bills need a new tight end after moving on from Charles Clay. While the team could target the position in the draft, adding a veteran wouldn’t hurt either.

We end with some more tight end news.

I expect the first day of free agency to be wild as usual. Yet this time, the Bills may make several major moves.
