4. Week 6: Texans 20, Bills 13

This loss tore my heart out of my chest. It was also the start of a painful four-game losing streak.

The Bills were up 13-10 in the fourth quarter, with the go-ahead touchdown coming via a touchdown pass from Peterman. Was the Peterman magic back? Not quite.

To the surprise of zero people, Peterman threw a pick-six to give the Texans the game as Allen sat on the sidelines injured. This was another demoralizing loss and one that doomed the team’s already slim playoff hopes.

3. Week 13: Dolphins 21, Bills 17

The Bills went to Miami after two straight wins and led at one point in the fourth quarter.

But the Bills trailed 21-17 at the end of the game and Allen had the offense driving. It was fourth-and-11 with just over a minute left when Allen heaved the ball toward Charles Clay in the end zone. The ball fell in front of Clay and the result was another close loss.

I’m convinced he should have made the catch. Yet at the end of the season, this game didn’t change much except for the fact it gives the Bills a higher draft pick. The Bills should be able to turn around and dominate the rebuilding Dolphins in 2019.
