It is mock draft season and the Buffalo Bills have been mocked to pick several players at No. 9 overall. Despite the wealth of talent in this draft, the Bills should trade back unless one of four players is on the board when they are up to pick.

The Buffalo Bills are picking in the top 10 of the 2019 NFL Draft and that is a great position to be in for the team.

With their franchise quarterback on the roster, a young corner evolving into a star before our eyes, and an athletic freak at middle linebacker, the team is not in dire need of one of the most important positions in the NFL.

What is so great about where the Bills pick is they are close enough to the top where they could draft a difference maker, but they will also benefit from quarterback-needy teams jumping up to select future signal-callers, pushing more and more top-10 talent to the Bills.

At this point in the process, I am all for the Bills trading down to acquire more picks. This class is deep in positions they need – defensive line, wide receiver, tight end and offensive line. It makes perfect sense to move back, acquire more picks this year and/or next, and add talent in the areas in which the team is weak.

On the other side, there potential for talent falling back to the Bills at No. 9 and the team being able to add a big-time talent. As I mentioned before, the QB-hungry teams will try to jump up to get their guy before another team selects them, much like what happened last year with the Bills moving up to No. 7 and a player like Derwin James falling all the way to No.17. Teams will panic, react, and reach.

Despite my desire for the team to move back, there are four players that would be great fits for the Bills now and down the road. Each one of the following players could make an impact and become a key building block for the team moving forward.
