Buffalo Bills fans have to spend another year watching the New England Patriots in the Super Bowl. The rooting interests this year are obvious.

Buffalo Bills fans have seen it before.

The hated New England Patriots are once again playing in the Super Bowl after an offsides call wiped out a Kansas City Chiefs victory on Sunday.

The Patriots are taking on the Los Angeles Rams after the New Orleans Saints got robbed. What a weird day of football it was.

It is clear that Bills fans will not be rooting for the Patriots in this one. Will you be pulling for the Rams to win? Or just hoping the Patriots lose without finding any joy in a Rams win?

The Super Bowl is such a major event that even if you can’t stand the sight of the Patriots, it is nearly impossible to avoid watching the game. It’s the final football game before the long offseason truly begins.

Those who do want to root for the Rams should find plenty to like about that team. Sean McVay is an exciting young coach to pull for and his team has explosive playmakers on both sides of the ball.

I can’t say I will personally be living and dying with the Rams on every play, but anything is better than Tom Brady and the Patriots winning another Super Bowl. Any Bills fan that disagrees must be a double agent.

The important thing for young Bills fans to remember is that the Bills will once again be better than the Patriots. Things haven’t always been this way. Even as recent as the 1990s, the Bills had a winning record over the Patriots for the decade. Then Tom Brady and Bill Belichick linked up.

Rivalries go in waves and the Bills appear to be on the rise once again. I know Bills fans who have been around for quite some time know that dominance is never permanent and a day will come when the Patriots no longer win the division every year.

Maybe a Rams win can begin the downfall of the Patriots dynasty.
