The Buffalo Bills are huge underdogs in Week 16 and a big day from the top running back on the roster could help the winning cause.

LeSean McCoy has not been the deciding factor in any of the five wins for the Buffalo Bills this season.

Yet a big game from the veteran could help spring an upset this Sunday in New England.

The Bills are set to take on the Patriots this weekend and are huge underdogs, to the surprise of no one.

This will be Josh Allen‘s biggest test as a pro, but he is going to need some help. Specifically from McCoy.

Allen is the team’s leading rusher ahead of McCoy and that is not a sustainable format if the Bills are to be a successful team. It is also a waste of money when considering how much McCoy makes.

Even though things have been rough, McCoy can salvage his season with a big day against the Patriots. This is easier said than done, but he will have help. Robert Foster has emerged as a big-play receiver who can attract some attention from the defense.

Then there is the running ability of Allen. This game will not be like the first time these two teams met, when McCoy was the only legitimate weapon on the field.

We take a look at this news and more in a Friday edition of The Morning Charge.

Buffalo Bills News:

LeSean McCoy says he’s ready to go for Week 16 (BuffaLowDown, Steven Kubitza)

McCoy has been dealing with injuries all season. This announcement is good news as the Bills are looking to get that defining win in 2018.

Improving the line in the latest MMQB mock draft (BuffaLowDown, Steven Kubitza)

The offensive line is a major position of need for the Bills in 2019, and has shown up repeatedly in mock drafts all year long. That continues as the season approaches its end.

Bills have no Pro Bowlers, which they call “embarrassing” and “BS” (PFT, Michael David Smith)

Some more quotes from the team about the lack of Pro Bowl selections this year. It is odd, but if the team can land an All-Pro selection, that is more meaningful.

Bills WR Victor Bolden expects to get opportunities vs. Patriots (Bills Wire, Nick Wojton)

Bills fans will be seeing a new name on offense this Sunday.

Hopefully he can help contribute to a major upset victory on the road.
