The Buffalo Bills have had several players disappoint in 2018, but two big names stand out the most among all those who have struggled.

Something has clearly gone wrong when a team is sitting with a record of 4-9 in December.

The Buffalo Bills are currently sporting that lowly record and while fans have seen certain players shine in 2018, others have put forth some truly terrible performances.

Randy Gurzi of NFL Spin Zone recently published a piece looking at the biggest busts on every NFL team. The Bills had two players included: LeSean McCoy and Kelvin Benjamin.

Here is some of what Gurzi had to say:

"Part of the problem can be attributed to defenses zeroing in on McCoy. With no passing threat to speak of, McCoy becomes the only player who needs attention. They had hoped Benjamin would fix that problem, but the receiver they acquired at the 2017 trade deadline is already gone as Buffalo let him go recently."

Gurzi mentions Nathan Peterman as an option for this piece, but he was already a bust in 2017. The fact he even played again, let alone start the season under center, was a mistake out of his hands.

Benjamin finished his Bills tenure with 23 receptions for 354 yards this season, adding only one touchdown. He was essentially a bust since the time he arrived last year as well, but there was hope he could turn things around. Instead, he looked sluggish and seemingly was unable to make any big plays. His 23 receptions came on 62 targets.

McCoy remains on the team and is now second on the team in rushing behind Josh Allen. Isn’t that something.

He only has two rushing touchdowns on the year and has eclipsed the 100-yard mark just once this season. That came in the blowout win over the New York Jets.

Things have gotten so bad with McCoy, who is now dealing with a hamstring injury, that I wouldn’t be surprised if the team tries to move him this offseason. If the goal is to get younger talent to build with, McCoy may be well past the point of being effective in this scenario.
