The Buffalo Bills picked up a second straight win and that has led to some different views as to where the team stands in national power rankings.

The Buffalo Bills are on quite the roll.

The team first embarrassed the New York Jets and followed that up by proving that the Jacksonville Jaguars shouldn’t be calling any other teams trash.

The team is only 4-7, but looks much better than it did just a few weeks ago.

That led to the team moving up four spots to No. 24 overall in NFL.com’s Week 13 power rankings. However, the team remained put at No. 28 in ESPN.com’s rankings.

Honestly, both rankings are fair. Two wins against bad teams is nothing to go wild about. Yet a third straight win this Sunday should certainly have the Bills moving out of that No. 28 spot on ESPN.com. My only beef is that ESPN.com has the Jaguars at No. 25. That team is really living off its 2017 reputation.

The Bills have been in this range of the rankings since the start of the year and have the chance to keep climbing with an easy upcoming schedule. The Miami Dolphins are ranked above the Bills on both sites, so a win should have the Bills move up past the free-falling Dolphins.

The only major jump would come if the Bills somehow beat the New England Patriots on the road later this season. Doing that will be the next step in the Bills becoming perennial contenders and fighting for AFC East crowns instead of a Wild Card spot.

Rankings remain arbitrary but they still give us a good sense of where the Bills stand compared to the rest of the NFL. But last time I checked, the Bills are still in the playoff hunt, so it doesn’t matter what anyone else thinks.

Just keep winning.
