The Buffalo Bills have more turnover at the quarterback position and enter Week 9 as major underdogs against the Chicago Bears.

The Buffalo Bills fought hard Monday night and still came away losers in what ended up being a blowout.

The home crowd certainly helped the Bills and while the team is back home this Sunday, the Chicago Bears show up as another dominant opponent.

OddsShark has the Bills listed as 10-point underdogs heading into Sunday’s game. The fact Nathan Peterman appears to be the starting quarterback certainly doesn’t help lower the spread.

The Bears currently sit atop the NFC North with a record of 4-3 and are letting Khalil Mack rest on Sunday to continue to get healthy. That sure doesn’t make it seem like the Bears are too worried.

But there are such things as trap games and the Bills have shown flashes of success this season. Winning in this one would ultimately come down to the defense playing a perfect game.

The Bears average 27.7 points per game and are third in the league in rushing yards at 137.6 per game. The Bills defense sits 15th in that category at 106.4 yards per game.

Mitchell Trubisky has not been an elite quarterback but he has thrown for 15 touchdowns, compared to only six interceptions. Don’t even get me started on how the Bills’ quarterback compares to those numbers.

It is frustrating knowing that the Bills defense can put forth a great effort, like the one seen for most of the game on Monday, and have the game derailed by bad quarterback play. I want to believe that Peterman can do some good and actually lead his team to a mistake-free win, but he will have to prove that he can before anyone believes in him.

But if he does surprise us all, some bettors who believe in the Bills could be making a lot of money this weekend.
