Buffalo Bills fans finally received some good news at the quarterback position with the latest update on the injured Josh Allen.

Josh Allen is going to be the starting quarterback for the Buffalo Bills for years to come. We must all wait and see whether that is a good or bad thing.

Allen was actually playing well before going down with an injury in the heartbreaking loss against the Houston Texans. He wasn’t setting any records, but he did help his team pick up two wins. The only two wins of the 2018 season for the Bills.

His absence has seen both Nathan Peterman and Derek Anderson line up at quarterback, while Matt Barkley may get his chance soon. Luckily, Allen appears to be on the right track for a return in 2018:

This is fantastic news. He can’t come back and save the season in any sense, but it would be awful if the No. 7 overall pick missed over half of his rookie season with an injury.

This year is all about development and as long as Allen is fully cleared to play, he can continue to develop on the field during the final stretch of the year. It will also allow the offense to play with the quarterback who will be the starter in 2019.

Allen’s elbow injury could have been much worse, so hopefully him throwing again means he is back to normal. And that he is back soon, because another bad game out of Peterman may cause some Bills fans to actually lose their minds. I don’t mean to predict doom and gloom this Sunday, but the past results have not been too pretty.
