The Buffalo Bills are at home next Monday night against the New England Patriots. Sean McDermott has made the right choice at quarterback.

The Buffalo Bills are in desperate need of a victory to bring some good vibes back after some truly devastating losses.

This won’t exactly be easy as the next game on the schedule comes against the New England Patriots next Monday night. The Booger crane will be in town!

This was supposed to be Josh Allen’s time to shine on the national stage. Instead, his injury made it a decision between Derek Anderson and Nathan Peterman. Luckily, Sean McDermott spared Bills fans from Peterman.

This decision was made yesterday and I have not been able to find any strong cases against Anderson starting since then. He couldn’t lead the offense to the end zone on Sunday but it was clear he was running a very basic version of the offense.

He also lost LeSean McCoy right away, taking away the focal point of the offense at the start.

Honestly, anyone is better than Peterman. He seems like a great guy, but he just can’t resist throwing interceptions. He even got a chance to redeem himself two weeks ago against the Houston Texans. But instead of leading a game-winning drive, he immediately threw a pick-six, followed by another interception to seal the game.

This is not the way many Bills fans envisioned the season going. However, I would argue that Brandon Beane isn’t too surprised. All part of the master plan, or so it goes.

The good news is that Allen isn’t out for the year and it looks like he may be back in a few weeks. He hasn’t had that much success, but at least he knows the offense, unlike Anderson who was supposed to be a mentor anyway.

McDermott didn’t have great options to choose from, but he made the right choice after giving Peterman far too many chances.
