The Buffalo Bills finally return home this Sunday to take on the Tennessee Titans and open as underdogs on the betting lines.
The Buffalo Bills are 1-3 but have opened the season with three of the first four games on the road.
The team is back in Buffalo this Sunday but the matchup is not an easy one as the 3-1 Tennessee Titans are coming to town. The Titans have won three in a row and just took down the Philadelphia Eagles one week after a victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars.
This matchup clearly favors the Titans, on paper, and that is reflected in the betting lines. OddsShark has the Bills listed as 3.5-point underdogs for the game.
The Bills were massive underdogs in Week 3 when they beat the Minnesota Vikings and it seems that this line is much more reasonable now that the Bills proved they can win, even after the team didn’t score a single point last Sunday in Green Bay.
The Bills get a few points for being at home and perhaps the home crowd will rally the team. It is also reasonable to expect some changes on offense to be made after last week that will hopefully lead to some better results. One key is to get the supposed playmakers involved much more. LeSean McCoy needs to hit double-digits in carries and Kelvin Benjamin needs to be a factor in the game, although his true talent is in question after a slow start.
I’m not sure I would bet on the Bills in this one. They showed us all that they have the ability to take down a great team, but they have also shown us the polar opposite. That type of inconsistency is not a great sign when betting.
What is your view of the spread? Would you be comfortable taking the Bills with those 3.5 points, or do you need more time to see the real identity of this team?
