The Buffalo Bills enter the third week of the preseason with plenty of position battles still raging on. That and more in today’s Morning Charge.

The Buffalo Bills enter the third week of the preseason without much clarity on some of the top position battles.

The main one everyone is talking about is the battle at quarterback, and the only change from minicamp to now is that AJ McCarron is likely out of the running with an injury.

That leaves Josh Allen and Nathan Peterman to battle it out. Peterman seems like the favorite to start right now but the fact he has not been named the Week 1 starter means Sean McDermott still wants to see what the rookie can do. Certainly some good news for Allen’s chances of starting.

The wide receiving corps still features several players looking to earn jobs and the same is true at running back, at least for that third spot on the depth chart.

The fact roster cuts are done all at once now means fans aren’t quite sure what the coaches are thinking in terms of roster construction, given no one player is just doing terrible. Fans can offer up their roster predictions, such as the one we published over the weekend, but some of it is simply guessing at this point.

We look at that and more in today’s edition of The Morning Charge.
