Jalen Ramsey had some negative things to say about Buffalo Bills rookie Josh Allen. These comments are annoying but are all part of the game of football.

Josh Allen is continuing to work toward becoming a starting quarterback for the Buffalo Bills. Jalen Ramsey thinks there is no point because the rookie is “trash.”

Harsh take.

Ramsey made some bold comments about Allen and some other quarterbacks in a recent GQ article. He talked trash about Allen for no real reason other than to share his opinion on someone he has never played against.

I am personally not a fan of unnecessary negativity. Saying someone is trash is just pointless and comes across as arrogant. But I do understand that trash talk, no pun intended, is a part of the game and Ramsey has every right to say this, if he backs it up.

Elite defensive backs need to carry a mindset that they are the best. Without that, they are already losing the mental edge to opposing offenses. So it is not a surprise that a player like Ramsey made it clear that he thinks little of so many quarterbacks.

Trash talk is part of all professional sports, especially in football. The good news is that the take can become cold very quick if Allen is the starter when the Bills take on the Jaguars in Week 12. For now, Allen doesn’t seem too bothered:

Allen is smart enough to know that the criticism will only continue as his NFL career goes on. Every pass will be critiqued and there will be moments where he makes mistakes. It is all part of learning the game.

The best possible outcome would be for Allen to torch Ramsey in Week 12 and then personally deliver a trash can to the Jaguars locker room.

Next. Zay Jones’s road to redemption. dark

We shall see how this rivalry develops, or if it even does. This may go down as some trash talk that is just that, and not the start of anything. Although I would still like the trash can delivery.
