Khalil Mack continues his holdout and some betting odds place the Buffalo Bills in contention to trade for the former Buffalo Bull.

Khalil Mack was a star as a member of the Buffalo Bulls. It sure would be cool if he could come back and be a star for the Buffalo Bills.

Mack is continuing his holdout in what is the final year of his rookie contract with the Oakland Raiders. That means a trade could be in his near future.

The Raiders would be smart to work something out with Mack, as he is a generational talent. But if the relationship is beyond repair, the Bills could be a possible trade partner.

This idea is supported by some betting odds, shared recently by OddsShark:

I like those odds.

The problem with acquiring Mack is that it would realistically come at a high price, given the Raiders are smart in a trade. The Bills aren’t likely to send a high draft pick for what could be a rental. The goal would be to re-sign Mack but he may be too expensive for the Bills on a long-term deal.

Trading for Mack is mostly just a fun idea at this point. He would come back to Buffalo and be treated like a legend right away.

Such a trade becomes more likely if the Bills are in playoff contention in October before the trade deadline arrives. If not, getting Mack as a rental player wouldn’t be the best business move.

According to the odds, the Packers are the early favorite. Then again, the Raiders will likely do what they can to keep Mack in town. But if there is a chance, it is still fun to dream about Mack in a Bills uniform.
