Brad “The Bruiser” Eichkorn and Alex Jones get Buffalo Bills fans ready for 2018 training camp in the latest episode of the BLD Podcast.

The Buffalo Bills kick off their 2018 training camp from St. John Fisher College in Pittsford on Thursday, July 26. Though this is a team who made the playoffs in 2017, a lot of questions surround this roster as they head into training camp.

Unlike a year ago, when the Bills went into training camp with a definitive starting quarterback in Tyrod Taylor, this year the Bills have a “three horse race” at the position.

That was one of the topics discussed on the latest episode of the BLD Podcast.

Although rookie quarterback Josh Allen has a lot of talent, I am a firm believer that he needs to be groomed into the starting role. I expect AJ McCarron or Nathan Peterman to win the starting job.

Whoever it may be, it feels a little better going into training camp with the three above mentioned quarterbacks, as opposed to 2015 when the Bills went into camp with Tyrod Taylor, EJ Manuel and Matt Cassel. This should be a fun competition to watch, with Bills fans hopeful the best quarterback to take the Bills back to the playoffs emerges.

The cloud hanging over the Bills as they head into training camp is the legal matter involving Bills running back LeSean McCoy. As it stands McCoy will enter camp like any other veteran. We will refrain from speculating on the details of the case, but there is pressure on the Bills running game should their star running back be absent this season.

Alex Jones does a great job debunking the myth that the Bills have a thin receiving corps. Kelvin Benjamin leads a Bills receiving corps that includes second-year receiver Zay Jones, Andre Holmes, and Rod Streater to name a few.
