Buffalo Bills: An update on LeSean McCoy’s status for training camp
It appears as if LeSean McCoy will be present for the start of Buffalo Bills training camp as the allegations against him continue to be investigated.
Buffalo Bills fans have been waiting for updates on the allegations against LeSean McCoy and while there have been statements made on both sides, the team and league haven’t made any definitive decision on his status.
It doesn’t appear that any decision will be made as McCoy is reporting to training camp like nothing has happened, according to Ian Rapoport:
Rapoport sent out this tweet earlier today and I waited to see if there would be any other updates. Alas, there have been no other major updates.
This situation is the top storyline heading into camp and will continue to be newsworthy until charges are either filed against McCoy or he is cleared in this matter. For now, he is innocent until proven guilty.
This is good news for the Bills in a football sense, but if McCoy is charged with any crimes he will surely be suspended and/or released. This makes sense given the allegations that have been made.
Shifting back to a football focus, McCoy can come to camp and focus on being the focal point of the offense once again. This will be a distraction for sure and McCoy will likely be asked about it, given he even speaks to reporters after practices. But there may be nothing to ask him about as he has already made a statement and will likely refuse to answer questions about these allegations anyway.

These allegations against McCoy are serious in nature and it is important not to jump to any conclusions until all the facts become clear. The team seems to be doing the right thing by not punishing McCoy for something he has not been charged with.
