Buffalo Bills legend Jim Kelly delivered an inspirational speech at Wednesday’s ESPY Awards. That and more in today’s Morning Charge.

The Wednesday following the MLB All-Star Game is known for being quite the slow day in professional sports. The ESPY Awards annually take place on the day and in this particular instance, Buffalo Bills fans had a reason to be excited about a team legend on this traditionally slow day.

Jim Kelly was in attendance at the event to accept the Jimmy V Award for Perseverance. Talk about a great individual to honor Jim Valvano.

Kelly accepted the award as he continues to battle cancer and had some inspirational words for those in attendance and those watching around the world.

Words to live by right there.

Kelly continues to be an inspiration to those in Buffalo and it is great to see him spread his message of hope and positivity on a national platform. Keep in mind he just recently underwent a procedure and was still up there on stage to accept the award and give his speech.

Human beings like Jim Kelly are rare finds and it remains an honor to have him be the face of the Bills franchise.

That and more in today’s edition of The Morning Charge.
