Buffalo Bills: Shaq Lawson on roster bubble according to ESPN article

Buffalo Bills fans could see some familiar faces be let go this summer and that could include former first-round pick Shaq Lawson.
Buffalo Bills training camp being less than a month away means it’s beginning to be that time for fans to start speculating about roster cuts.
Training camp is a time of opportunity for new players looking to stick on a roster, while it is also a time for the coaching staff to trim off some underperforming players who have been on the team for a few years.
We took a look at four potential cuts recently, but one we didn’t have on the list was Shaq Lawson, who was chosen as being on the roster bubble in an ESPN article.
This makes sense as Lawson has been underwhelming since joining the team as a first-round pick in 2016. One thing in Lawson’s favor is that he has only played in 21 career games. The team may want to see another season from him, hopefully a full one, before deciding to part ways so soon.
Lawson showed his potential during his time at Clemson. But things move fast in the NFL and the Bills don’t have time to wait around if Lawson has another lackluster year. The team is in somewhat of a rebuilding mode, where each position is being upgraded if necessary.
Lawson has come out and said he is more focused this offseason, which is a great first step. But that is just talk right now. It also may already be too late for him in the eyes of the organization.

The best move would be for the Bills to be open to trading Lawson, taking in offers throughout the summer. If a nice draft pick is thrown the team’s way, the move is an easy one if all faith in Lawson has already been lost.
